The 2025 Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix was experimental. For the first time, the FIA mandated two tire changes to encourage strategic diversity… and for something to happen, well, on a circuit where we don’t see anything beyond qualifying. I don’t know if it went as the Federation intended, but the truth is that it was a bit more interesting than usual.
Lando Norris had the chance to defend the lead at the start after taking pole yesterday against local hero Charles Leclerc in his Ferrari. Fernando Alonso, after another great qualifying, suffered more bad luck with engine problems. Carlos Sainz, playing with the rest of the field to benefit his teammate, and Franco Colapinto, racking up vital mileage on a circuit that doesn’t allow for mistakes.
